Ever notice that many of them act differently around different people, will say different things, change their preferences according to the situation? I have. In lower classes it seems there is a decrease in this, not an elimination, but a decrease. Without the need to fit into to popularity, much of it is at a very low rate. Here, in the lower class, is where you will find more genuine friendships, more real people than two-faced. Here, when you fall, you are caught by your friends, forming even tighter bonds. Thicker, harder to sever. When you are higher up it seems all your friends back off as soon as you run into trouble, they use you as a stepping stool to reach the next level. When you fall, who catches you. No one, you fall to rock bottom. When this happens, the lower class prospers, all of the sudden ending up on top. Bonds of true friendship keep them there, established by hardships endured together, by experiences shared, by things ventured. It would seem that in the end, it is all flipped.

The Conclusion
Where is the paradox?
Society as defined by Dictionary.com - a body of individuals living as members of a community.
You exist among all this chaos. Your supposed to stand there, conforming to the higher class. Struggling to reach the top. When you do, who have you left behind? Who have you stepped on to get there? Where are your friends now? Who catches YOU when you fall to the bottom. No one. So in this world of conformation and normalcy, where your SUPPOSED to be the big, ignorant, jerk, you must maintain your individuality. You must step ahead of all the stereotypes, the assumptions. You must rise above the obstacles, fight to maintain your own person. You need to make a stand AGAINST society. It may seem scary at first, but with one person, may more follow. The one thing we should ALL have in common, we're all unique. Don't ever lose yourself to what SHOULD be to others. Hold yourself to what uou NEED to be, yourself.

Thank yo all for staying with me this long and helping me. I'd like to give special thanks to anyone who's been there for me, keeping me in my own persona in Society.
Sias
Shannon
Chi
Kaylee
Aaryn
Andrew
Chebrai
Cayen
Jordan
and Panhia.

Paradox: Society 2

A paradox, something contradictory or seemingly impossible.

Welcome back guys. To the paradox!

Jocks. Sporty, sweaty, and once again popular..... Hm...... um... what? I know many people who play sports and sweat and aren't very popular. Once again, the common jock is different from the common sport lover. Justin Timberlake

Alright, now that the scene is set. Try to listen to the lyrics of this song as we go. Why are Jocks and Preps higher than other "social classes"? Since when does it matter how we act, what we have, what we look like.... oh wait.... that's society. It goes against almost everything we stand for as an indivduals. Im unique.... just like everyone else. But ti can't only be what I've mentioned. "Ah nice shirt Jack."
"Thanks, I got it at Aero." (Jocks)

"Check out this shirt I got guys!" (Lower Class)
"Why the hell would you spend that much for a shirt at Aero?" (Jock)
I've heard many things like that.... seriously. I spend money on my clothes. I eat at the same places. I go to the same school. Im in a lot of activities.... why are YOU any better than ME or ANYONE ELSE??? It makes me wonder.... we'll find out together in my next part, "Lower Class".

Random Inspirations

Ignorance in the World

Marlise Boedeker, her writings inspired me to begin my own.
Facebook of Marlise

Friends in Need

Society

Literature:
Romeo & Juliet
To Kill a Mockingbird
Freakanomics
Twilight Series

Philosophers

Me: I'd prefer to help other people with their happy endings
Friend: but what about yours? when do you stop helping others and start helping yourself?
Me: Never. Its only in your head you feel left out, or looked down on.
Just try your best, try everything you can. And don't you worry what they tell themselves, when your away. (The Middle ~ Jimmy Eat World)

So society. You know, that thing we all exist in with all those popularity chains, gossip, and rumors. Yeah that thing that requires you to conform to it if you want to be cool. Well we'll start at the top. Preps, as they're called. Stereotypically smart, pretty/ good-looking, stuck-up, rich, two-faced, controlled, spoiled and athletic. So those are those at the top of the chain. Conform to that guys, become a selfish jerk who uses people around you. You want popularity, thats what society wants. Now in no way am I saying that ALL those things are bad, but it seems like they have everything. And naturally people stay within their groups, their cliques lets say. So your someone who's got it all.... even two-faced selfish friends? Yeah, no thanks! I mean seriously, be yourself. THATS what gets you true friends who stand by your side, not your status. And to those who get ripped on by preps constantly, who cares. Its usually only one lifeless jerk, the others follow. A.... pack mentality if you will. When one attacks, they follow. Ignore them, when they all fall down from the top of the pyramid who will they have to catch them? No one!!! All of their "friends" will be to busy securing their new ranks in society. Which leads me to the next one jocks..... which I shall continue another time due to the fact that this one could go on for awhile. So stay tuned for the... about 2 more parts and conclusion!

Paradox: Time

A paradox, something contradictory or seemingly impossible.

Time is tickin.....
Its the Final Countdown.....
Well, this is the last day of 2008. Its amazing how much time you have in your life, yet many waste it so. Others seize each and everyday like the last. And it might as well be, for tomorrow never comes. A word which has an exact definition, but goes so far beyond itself. They say love can be found at first sight. One meant to complete you, yet something different. They share a special bond called LOVE. Both have definitions, yet the words themselves can only be so defined. Each closer examination only raises more question. Must you travel to meet yours? Is he/she next to you? Would you even consider a soulmate? How do you know who.

Love and soulmates, something so simple to everyone. Yet so complex to anything above average, more than a connection of the mind and body, but of the heart and soul . I have come to the conclusion that leads to yet another paradox, out of the people out there love and soulmates seem to draw a slim to nil percentage. Yet many believe there is someone for everyone, making it almost 100%. So if any of you lucky people out there find your soulmates and loves, in the word of Kanye West, keep your Love Locked Down. Who knows when the next time you'll find someone as dear to you?

Paradox: A Man

Hmm.... I've decided to give this writing thing a try. I will begin a series called Paradox:, so here we go.

A paradox, something contradictory or seemingly impossible.

A man, one of male gender, a masculine figure. Is that all a man is today? I once believed that a man was responsible and not only strong in the body but also in the mind. By the standards of today's society a man is someone who either has money, popularity, or sex...... yet that is exactly the opposite of what a man is. A man is a strong being, crafted so that he may help even the most delicate of creatures in the toughest of times. Since when was a so called man able to get away with calling a beautiful creation such as a woman a, and excuse my language, a bitch? When a man was called to help her, when was he called to take advantage of her. When was a man allowed to take virtue after virtue, while all the while never giving his? Tell me when a man was able to step on anything in his way, be it anyone who cherished him or anything of value. Since when does a man out himself before others? Since when has a man become a boy?

Where are the true men in today's world. They make their stands, never having enough to get through to the boys. The boys ignore them in their ignorance, and pay attention only when struck at. "An eye for an eye, and soon the world is blind." Yet we allow this to continue, men of this world, bring forth your arms. Don't hold back, now is the time to come out of hiding and claim the word of man once again.
